Maca Powder to the rescue! In October of ’19 I had a horrendous skin issue, it was Uriticaria (hives), subclinical hypothyroidism, eczema and an aggressive contact dermatitis of unknown origin. Note, don’t click on the link if you’re squeamish – Google stopped serving ads for “shocking content.”
I’ve done so many things to try and get over it I don’t think I can even remember them all but one thing that helped for CERTAIN is maca powder, the interesting super food used by warriors for centuries. I had skin mottling from my subclinical hypothyroid and it disappeared as I continued to use it. I started out very small at 1/4 teaspoon in my applesauce. I went up to 1 teaspoon and ask I got better I tapered off of it. Now I just sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon in my salad once a week or so and it’s keeping everything in check. I have 9 disorders and at 49 was heading into menopause and it’s helped with that as well. I think, along with the collagen peptides, it’s helped with my nails as well because hypothyroid makes your nails hard and they crack.
I also stopped yawning as much at work. I still do need my scheduled nap, thanks narcolepsy and fibro, but I don’t always sleep – sometimes I just rest.
